**The Staff Pharmacist II at North Mississippi Health Services is a multifaceted position focused on clinical care, education, operations, research, and regulatory compliance. This position involves coordinating patient care across various healthcare settings, providing medication education, conducting research, and maintaining compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
**Serves as a resource person to support pharmacy personnel and other healthcare professionals in designated area.
* Assists in designing and coordinating clinical pharmacy services.
* Assists in training pharmacy staff.
* Assists in programs to meet the needs of the pharmacy and other healthcare professionals.
* Develops objectives for and facilitate student/resident training.
* Provides medication use education to patients, family members, community, etc.
* Participates in departmental performance improvement programs.
* Operations:
* Working knowledge of pharmacy and medical claims systems.
* Understanding of retail and hospital outpatient operations.
* Working knowledge of billing and reimbursement procedures (ICD-9/HCPC/CPT Coding , OPPS reimbursement, Medicare, etc).
* Financial/Budget:
* Regulatory:
* Ensures departmental compliance with accreditation, legal, regulatory, and safety requirements.
* Adheres to NMHS/NMMC Policies, Procedures/Guidelines.
**Bachelor's Degree
Graduate of an accredited school of Pharmacy
PhD
Doctorate of Pharmacy (PharmD)
Licensed as a Pharmacist by the State Board of Pharmacy in the state based on facility location

**Minimum of 3 years experience in comparable health system pharmacy
American Society of Health Systems Pharmacy Residency (ASHP) or 3 years clinical practice experience (clinical)
