*GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES:** *By or under the direction of the requesting physician or the reading physician, perform ordered examinations of patients for the purpose of assisting in the diagnosis of patient illness.
*DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:*
* Performs ordered examinations of appropriate anatomical regions in accordance with accepted standards of practice and protocols of Utah Cancer Specialists and / or reading physician.
* Performs or assists in the preparation and administration of PRRT treatments and other radiopharmaceutical treatments.
* Maintains technical competency through continued education and participation in company sponsored training programs.
* Under guidelines of set practices, administers contrast agents and/or radiopharmaceuticals according to site-specific protocols.
* Completes and signs the Patient Screening form and reviews/explains the procedure to the patient.
* Performs equipment quality checks and troubleshoots problems. Calls for service and notifies all pertinent team members.
* Maintains a clean environment inside and outside of injection and scan rooms.
* Completes necessary administrative tasks. i.e.: time reports, billing, QA, etc.
* Follows quality assurance guidelines and maintains patient confidentiality.
* Cooperates with facility healthcare professionals and complies with facility policies/procedures.
* Complies with all safety policies and regulations including radiation safety.
* Maintains current licensure and permits to practice.
* Performs additional duties as required
*QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:*
*Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:*
* A.R.R.T. (N) and/or NMTCB and State License are required.
* A minimum of one year of prior nuclear medicine experience is required.
* Must be proficient in starting IVs.
* PET/CT experience
*CERTIFICATE/LICENSE REQUIREMENTS:* Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist
