*Travel, PRN, Short-Term Option, etc.). Coordinate nursing activities and resources within clinical specialty or department.
Coordinate staff scheduling and educational/development activities.
Identify and resolve issues affecting the delivery of patient care. Perform quality assurance studies and assist with implementation of quality assurance and/or improvement initiatives.
Serve as resource to staff and external contacts on issues related to patient care, patient flow and clinical standards, policies and procedures.
Monitor departmental compliance with regulatory and compliance requirements.
Licensure / Certification / Registration:
Nursing compact license required within 60 days of hire or transfer.
Minimum 5 year actively practicing as a registered nurse, including at least 3 years in oncology
1 year in a leadership position or charge nurse position, preferably in an oncology ambulatory setting
Experience in delegation of nursing responsibilities to licensed and unlicensed personnel
Strong knowledge of Oncology Services required (both Medical and Radiation)
