Med Surg/CDU RN - 12 Hr Variable D/N - Bellin Hospital - Green Bay, WI Contract 13 weeks • Start ASAP • Guaranteed Hours Per Week: 48 • Primary Location: Bellin Hospital • Shift Requirements: 12hr D/N Rotation (hrs 7a-730p, 7p-730a) *Approximately 60% nights, 40% days* • Float Requirements: Float to like units as needed • On Call/Call Back Requirements: none • Weekend/Holiday: Every other weekend and holiday rotation • Required Certifications to be Attached upon Submittal: BLS (American Heart) & Active RN or Compact license, NIHSS • NIHSS certification preferred for submissions, completion of cert is required prior to end of orientation. Certification provided through Bellins Apex Innovations, at no charge to the traveler. • Minimum Experience: 1 -2+ years Med/Surg experience Must have experience with venipuncture and Cardizem is required • Charting Experience Required: Epic required within the past 2 years • Unit Information for M/S : 4th Floor, 26 beds. Medical unit/CDU • Patient Population: Very active unit with frequent turnaround of patients. Patients stay 1-2 days, and then DC home, become inpatient and transfer floors, or transfer to ICU. Typical patients are organ failure (Kidney, liver), pneumonia, GI bleeds, stroke, detox, weakness, sepsis, seizures, currently Covid, chemotherapy, end of life. Must have experience with venipuncture and Cardizem is required • Patient Ratios: 1-2 RNS (LPN)+CNA on days, 1 RN+CNA on nights
1:4 on days and pms & 1:5-6 on night shift • Hard worker, Time management, Resilient and Manages Change well, Social candidates • Scrub Colors: No bright colors or character prints Radius Rule: Contractors must be outside a 50 mile radius of Bellin Health. **candidate must start medical portion of compliance within 48 hours of accepted offer, or 24 hrs for a quick start *GSA hours are not guaranteed the week of Orientation.
