Foundations is looking for a special education teacher for an Middle School self-contained ED classroom in the Apache Junction, AZ Area


Who We Are: Foundations was founded by therapists and is an experienced resource, utilized by Arizona school districts, making available highly trained, qualified, vetted, and certified therapy providers. Employing evidence-based practices, our providers meet the students needs, as well as assist districts to maintain compliance with requirements. EDUCATION and CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:


Bachelors degree (BA) from four-year College or university
An appropriate and current Arizona Teaching Certificate
Valid Department of Public Safety Fingerprint Clearance card.

Ability to Relocate:

Instructs children in activities designed to promote learning concepts, acquire skills and develop positive attitudes that will contribute to their development as capable, mature, and responsible citizens by performing the following duties.


Develop lesson plans and instructional materials that adapt the curriculum to meet the needs of each pupil
Communicate learning goals to students in a well-planned, organized manner using clear and precise language
Maintain accurate and complete records as required by State/Federal law and District policy
Establish oral and/or written lines of communication with guardians to discuss pupil progress
Participate in team reviews concerning academic progress of low performing/at-risk students
Use site, District, and State assessment data to drive instruction and place students in appropriate instructional and/or intervention programs
Effectively implement Individual Education Plans
Assume responsibility for the supervision of students on school property or in attendance at school-sponsored activities
Take necessary and reasonable precautions to protect students, equipment, materials, and facilities
Participate in school-wide events, scheduled meetings, and conferences with guardians
Participate in school and District initiatives
Perform other duties as assigned by the District or school site
