Certified Medical Assistant

State College, PA

Day Shift, M-F - 0715-1545 or 0800-1630, No Weekends or Holidays (no guaranteed hours for holiday)

13 Weeks Contract (possibility of extension)

$20 per hour (negotiable)

*Tentative Start Date:* 07/29/2024

*Job Description*
* Perform routine procedures to include sterile dressings, E.K.G.'s, spirometries, bladder catheterizations, removal of sutures and clamps, and application of topical medications.
* Assist physician/s with surgical procedures including removal and placement of gastrostomy tube, spinal taps, etc.
* Use sterile technique when appropriate.
* Obtain laboratory specimens.
* Place, remove, and record allergy patch testing results.
* Conduct lab studies of specimens; determine test results and report findings to the physician or nurse.

*Requirements*
* 2 year’s of experience.
* Excellent oral communication skills required.
* Computer skills required.

*Required Licenses & Certifications*
* Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
* Credentialed MA (Certified/Registered)

*Education*
* High school diploma or equivalent
