* Schedule: 1.0 FTE. Call 1:5. 36 pt contact hours. Rotating hospital / clinic responsibilities with colleagues. 4 Interventional Cardiologists and 3 Electrophysiologists and 2 General Cardiologists.

* Practice Detail: Program consists of Full Service Cardiology, Cardiovasculary Surgery, Electrophysiology, Cardio Oncology and a Structural Heart Program (TAVR, Watchman, Mitraclip, PFO Closures, etc). Shared APC to assist in the hospital and clinic, along with shared RN triage, RN in clinic and shared support staff.

Responsibilities

Ascension Medical Group is looking for a Board Certified/Board Eligible Non-Invasive Cardiologist to join our team at Ascension Columbia St. Mary's Hospital. Join a robust Coronary and Vascular Intervention Practice in a full service Tertiary Care Hospital.

Responsibilities:

* Evaluates and treats patients with appropriate medical diagnostic and treatment skills.

* Recommends, participates in, and works to ensure the success of efforts to improve cost effectiveness and quality of care provided to patients.

* Accepts patient referrals from other physicians. Acts as admitting, attending and/or consulting physician for patients who require hospitalization for primary medical diagnoses, depending on needs of patients, medical staff and hospital.

* Participates in academic programs (e.g. medical education and research) as requested.

* Provides appropriate documentation that meets insurance company requirements; appeal all denials in a timely manner.

* Participates in inpatient and outpatient consultation for specialty, which may include on call schedules.

Requirements

Required Credential(s):

* Physician MD/DO credentialed from the Wisconsin Medical Examining Board obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. Verified by local Credentialing Office.

Preferred Credential(s):

* Advanced Life Support credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA). Verified by local Credentialing Office.

Education:

* Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) required.

Requirements:

* Must be BE/ BC Cardiology

* Echo and Nuclear Certification helpful
