Tuesday’s Child currently provides a wide range of services including: Behavioral Intervention through multi-week sessions available in both English and Spanish; Outreach Services through a combination of multi-week and one-day training programs that focus on Behavioral Intervention, child development and Parent Training delivered to community-based organizations and agencies; TC Scholars Preschool through an academically enriched pre-school focusing on children ages 3-5 with social emotional delays and challenging behaviors; Summer Camp by offering developmental intervention, behavior management techniques, and educational field trips in a day camp format.

Job Summary:

Reporting to the Executive Director, the Clinical Director is responsible for overseeing the general management of programs and supervises the Preschool Director, Behavioral Intervention Lead Teacher, and Director of Parent Education to ensure their alignment to the mission and vision of the organization. Collaborates with staff Clinicians to ensure clinical integrity of the program. Provides clinical observation and supervision for masters and bachelor level interns. Serves as a member of the leadership team within the organization.

Management & Oversight:

  • Oversee and manage programmatic goals, activities, and staffing to ensure successful implementation of services.
  • Supervise and evaluate direct reports by providing direction, training and leadership to meet responsibilities and achieve goals.
  • Ensure internship supervision and training standards, staffing, and relations with university partners are upheld.

Compliance:

  • Maintain compliance with all DCFS licensure requirements.
  • Ensure NASW ethical standards are upheld for the organization.
  • Adhere to a strict confidentiality policy to protect child/family privacy.
  • Modify, update, and implement relevant safety/security policies. Documentation (Client records, consultation, communication)
  • Facilitate and plan necessary training for staff and interns to successfully implement their roles.

Program Evaluation:

  • Identify goals and outcomes for programming.
  • Create effective evaluation measures for programming.
  • Ensure implementation of evaluation measures in a consistent manner for both current outcomes and future impacts of the program.
  • Utilize data to inform strategic decision making and program development.
  • Compile necessary data and prepare reports for internal review and to satisfy funding requirements.

Outreach & Community Relationships:

  • Build and maintain relationships with community partners / referral sources.
  • Provide educational sessions, presentations, and other forms of promotion to referral organizations.
  • Connect with organizations, providers, and schools to strengthen community
  • relationships.
  • Works with ED & Marketing to ensure program services are promoted in a clinically accurate manner.

Required Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Social Work or related field (LCSW preferred)
  • At least 5 years of management/supervisory experience with a team of direct reports
  • Knowledge and experience with early childhood development
  • Knowledge/experience with behavioral parenting programs
  • Experience in evidence based treatment programs, including behavior management
  • Experience in clinical supervision and program management
  • Excellent communication and people skills
  • Exceptional organizational and leadership skills
  • Aptitude in resolving issues and conflicts
