Epic Travel Staffing is hiring a Travel RN - Med Surg/Rehab - 6 East
Shift : Nights / 7p-7a, 12x3, 36 hrs per week, EOW Length : 13 weeks
Requirements:
  • WA License
  • 2 years' experience
  • MS nurses with some neuro experience
  • Isolation Precautions, Wound Care/Wound Vac required
  • BLS
  • NIH
  • ACLS preferred
  • Telemetry- remote monitoring preferred
  • Rehab preferred
Other Details:
  • Work Settings: MS/Tele, Med/Surg
  • Travelers float first
Patient Diagnoses:- Mainly neuro patients. Prefer tele experience with ACLS when floating off of Cherry Hill campuses.- Support neuro-tele units according to skill level and floating is required.- MS nurses with some neuro exp required
- Staffing Ratio: 1:5- Float: yes, Multi campus, travelers float first, 5 EAST Tele- # Weekend Shifts per Contract: every other
SKILLS
Work Settings:- MS/Tele, Med/Surg (REQUIRED)
Cardiac Monitoring and Emergency response:- Use of Rapid Response Teams (REQUIRED)- Telemetry- remote monitoring (PREFERRED)
Gastrointestinal:- Colostomy care, Feeding tube care and management (REQUIRED)
IV therapy/Phlebotomy:- Blood Product Administration, Central line blood draw, Peripheral Line Care/Management, PICC line management, Starting IVs (REQUIRED)
Medications:- Heparin, Insulin, PCA (REQUIRED)
Neurological/Psychiatric:- CVA, Pre/Post Neuro Surgery, Spinal cord injuries, Traumatic Brain injury (REQUIRED)
Oncology:- Chemotherapy Administration (PREFERRED)
Plastics:- Surgical drains (REQUIRED)
Respiratory:- Nasal Cannula, Oral suctioning, Tracheostomy Management (REQUIRED)
Professional Knowledge and Skills:- Isolation Precautions, Wound Care/Wound Vac (REQUIRED)
Additional Skills:- MS Acute Care with some neuro (REQUIRED)- Rehab (PREFERRED)
Certifications:- BCLS, NIH (REQUIRED)- ACLS (PREFERRED)
Scrubs: Navy
