Responsibilities Monitor legislative changes affecting nursing practice standards and advise nursing leadership on matters related to nursing practice. * Monitor standards of nursing practice established by the State Board of Nursing. * Lead efforts in redesign of the nursing care delivery to improve efficiency and patient outcomes. * Provide consultative guidance regarding clinical practice to all areas. * Monitor new legislative and regulatory issues that may directly/indirectly impact the practice of nursing; coordinate changes into policy/process and educate/monitor compliance as appropriate. * Serve as an expert advisor for all levels of nursing particularly related to nursing scopes of practice. Requirements Licensure / Certification / Registration: * Registered Nurse credentialed from the Texas Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required. * BLS Provider preferred. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted. Education: * Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR Required professional licensure at time of hire. Additional Preferences Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required. 3-5 years of nursing experience required.
