Overview:
Performs specialized MRI procedures on patients, resulting in diagnostic images for interpretation by a radiologist. Also provides the patient care essential to these procedures. Applies principles of MR safety. Lead duties also includes scheduling, super user, or expert problem solver for internal and external issues, trains, and orients new co-workers, assists with performance evaluations.
Qualifications:
  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent. Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technologist Program or MRI Technologist Program and completed required clinical hours.
  • Experience: 3+ years specific MRI experience to area
  • Licensure/Certifications: ARRT(MR) or ARMRIT 1 Advanced registry (MRI)- working in the area
  • Other Skills & Knowledge:
    • IV Insertion
    • Technical skill in medical scanning, understanding of cross sectional anatomy, and 3-D knowledge.
    • Assist with other duties of scheduling, acts as expert/problem-solver for internal/external issues, trains and orients new co-workers, assists with performance Conditions, Mental and Physical Requirements:
    • Manipulating equipment, lifting, moving, and transporting patients.
    • Continual standing or walking.
    • Adapt to stressful Used:
    • Should be proficient in the use of MRI Scanners, Power Injectors, workstations and Computers.
  • Preferred Certifications: Magnetic Resonance Safety Officer (MRSO) certification
  • Preferred Education: Bachelor degree
