We are seeking a qualified, compassionate individual who is a team player and enjoys working with children to fill a Registered Nurse position. *This position is 24 to 32 hours per week, with rotating Saturday's at both our Highland Park and Vernon Hills office.
Phone triage
Working closely with the physicians to maintain exceptional patient care. Epic experience is a plus.
In the office setting, under the direction of the providers, administers direct patient care, provides telephone triage and coordinates patient care needs outside the office such as diagnostic procedures and specialty referrals.
Provides assessment of patients in the office and administers direct patient care as ordered by the provider.
* Manages and documents incoming patient telephone calls and assesses the need for patient appointments or delivers home care advice and management per office triage guidelines or under the direction of a provider.
* Prepares and administers immunizations or other medications per office protocol and provider orders.
* Reviews incoming faxes and forms as well as specialist, hospital and emergency room reports and routes to the appropriate providers for their review. Performs office lab tests as ordered by a provider and remains proficient in the completion of tests.
* Performs and supports PediaTrust Core Values and digital health workflows and initiatives.
REGISTERED NURSE ADDITIONAL JOB FUNCTIONS Performs cleaning and disinfection of instruments and equipment based on practice protocol.
