*Summary: *The Quality Engineer is responsible for supporting the Quality Auditors and the Production Department in the production of quality products.
*Essential Job Duties/Functions:*
* Managing internal audits and maintaining records of these events.
* Conducting manufacturing process capability studies and gauge R&R analysis.
* Supporting operations to improve process capabilities and reduce variation.
* Establishing effective process controls and monitors.
* Proficient in the understanding and use of SPC (statistical process control).
* Collecting & analyzing data on scrap and rejects, etc.
* Conducting new equipment qualifications.
* Manage customer issues to effective resolution.
* Responsible for trouble shooting root cause analysis.
* Proficient in the use of measuring equipment – micrometer, height gauges, etc.
* Effectively interact with Production and Development teams to maintain product supply and help introduce new products via the company’s New Product Implementation Team.
* Maintain the Company’s quality inspection and product release programs for incoming and in-process materials and components, processes and finished goods.
* Following the organization's policies as well as any applicable laws while carrying out any of their duties.
*Competencies:*
* Able to follow established processes and create new processes.
* Team player with strong interpersonal skills and leadership skills.
* Proven ability to work on multiple concurrent tasks/projects.
* Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills (written & oral).
* Ability to work in a fast paced environment.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
*Requirements*
*1. Bachelor’s Degree preferred.*
*2. 5 or more years of Plastics Industry Quality Engineering experience.*
*3. 2 or more years of Quality Management experience.*
