Position: Vice President - Investment Banking
Location: Onsite in Chicago, IL
Founded in 2001, Cabrera Capital Markets LLC is a growing investment bank and institutional brokerage firm. Headquartered in Chicago, IL the firm specializes in providing investment banking for municipal, corporate, and advisory clients, as well as institutional brokerage services for municipal bonds, global equities, taxable fixed income securities, preferred equities, and cash management services. The Capital Markets Investment Banking Vice President is responsible for managing and executing capital raising transactions for clients in various industries. This role involves working to execute and manage a variety of financing transactions, including public and private equity offerings, debt financing, and other capital market transactions. The person will work closely with the entire capital markets team and will regularly interact with investment, finance, operations and legal professionals as well as senior management within Cabrera Capital Markets.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the execution of capital raising transactions
- Work closely with senior bankers to develop financing strategies for clients
- Analyze industry and market trends to identify potential opportunities for clients
- Prepare pitch books, offering memorandum, and other marketing materials for client presentations
- Oversee due diligence processes and coordinate with legal, accounting, and other advisors
- Cultivating new client relationships
- Provide mentorship and guidance to junior team members
- Stay updated on regulatory requirements and market developments affecting capital markets
Requirements
- Minimum of 6 years of experience in investment banking or related field
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, Business, or related field (MBA preferred)
- Strong knowledge of capital markets and financing transactions
- Proven track record of successfully executing capital raising transactions
- Excellent analytical, financial modeling, and presentation skills
- FINRA Series 7, Series 79 and Series 63 licenses required (or within 6 months of hire)
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
- Willing to travel 50% of role
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks effectively
- Must be highly organized and demonstrate a strong attention to detail
- Self-confident and have the ability to maintain composure in challenging environments
