Assays performed in the Molecular Microbiology area include Qualitative and Quantitative PCR, with the overall goal of providing results that can be used for the diagnosis and management of a wide range of infections using real-time PCR detection of nucleic acid.
*The work schedule for this position will be: 1st shift, Tuesday-Saturday, 7:00am-3:30pm.*
*Perform testing on biological samples, quality control samples and proficiency samples making measurements and calculations
* Evaluate raw and final data for accuracy; Manage the movement of materials/samples that are being processed
* Bachelor’s degree in biology, chemistry, medical technology or a related science
* Previous experience is not required at the Technologist Trainee level
* Proficient with computers; Flexibility to work overtime or other shifts depending on business needs
