Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Phlebotomist to join our team. As a Phlebotomist, you will play a crucial role in the healthcare system by collecting blood samples from patients for diagnostic testing and transfusions. Your attention to detail, knowledge of laboratory techniques, and commitment to patient care will contribute to the overall well-being of our patients.
Pay Details
40 Hrs./Wk.= $1240 Per week
Hourly Pay = $31.00hr.
Weekly Taxable:$640 Per week
weekly travel stipend: $600 Per Week
OT Rate:$39.00/hr.
Responsibilities:
Shift:Day 5x8
20 weeks contract
08 hours a day
40 hours per week.
Requirements:
Years of Experience: 3+
Required Certifications: BLS
One-year phlebotomy or clinical laboratory experience
Responsibilities:
- Perform venipuncture and collect blood specimens from patients
- Follow proper procedures and maintain aseptic technique during blood collection
- Label and organize blood samples for laboratory testing
- Verify patient information and ensure accurate documentation of collected samples
- Provide exceptional patient service by ensuring their comfort and addressing any concerns or questions they may have
- Adhere to all safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure accurate specimen collection and timely delivery to the laboratory
- Handle difficult or challenging situations with professionalism and empathy
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of an accredited phlebotomy training program
- Current certification as a Phlebotomist preferred
- Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology
- Familiarity with clinical laboratory procedures and equipment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
- Ability to prioritize tasks and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
