Rebecca School is a developmental program that utilizes the DIRFloortime method , a relationship-based model of teaching instruction developed by Dr. Rebecca School is opening a new location in Mount Vernon, NY for the 2024 school year and is seeking Occupational Therapists to work with students age 3 to 21 with neurodevelopmental delays in relating, communicating and thinking. As an Occupational Therapist, you will play an integral role in the success of our students, developing occupational therapy treatment plans and goals to improve functional abilities and enhance their ability to learn. Provide individual and group occupational therapy services to students to correct specific areas of sensory motor integrative dysfunction and social/emotional issues
Collaborate with staff in the development, analysis and preparation of reports, sensory diets (classroom and individual) and in-service assignments
Monitor therapy and educational staff trained to incorporate appropriate occupational therapy treatment strategies into instruction; Train other staff on pertinent therapeutic activities and techniques to support students as needed
Collaborate with other disciplines such as Physical Therapy, Speech Language Pathology, and Social Work 
Maintain professional competence by attending staff development programs and continuing education programs
Participate in weekly Greenspan meetings, team meetings and staff trainings
Master's Degree or Doctoral Degree in Occupational Therapy
License to practice Occupational Therapy in NYS
Experience in Pediatrics preferred 
Ability to establish and maintain professional working relationships with students, staff and parents
