Duties & Responsibilities
Responsibilities include providing medical care in the Urgent Care Clinic, to residents in Community Living Center units, covering as a hospitalist, and responding to medical emergencies.
The Urgent Care Clinic is open from 7:00am to 7:00pm Monday through Friday, holidays and Weekends from 7:00am to 5:00pm. The primary work schedule is a compressed schedule, typically working 40 hours over a 3-day period.
- Provide outpatient care in the Urgent Care Clinic including treatment of patients presenting to urgent care, appropriate referrals, transfers to outside facilities, and admissions to acute medical unit
- Admission and care of patients that are admitted to the facility on the acute medicine unit and the Community Living Center nursing home units
- Participate in the teaching of medical students, physician assistant students, nurse practitioner students, and medical residents
- Participate in medical staff decisions affecting patient care services
- Manage complex diagnostic problems and difficult clinical management issues

Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP), This position may be eligible for a student loan payment reimbursement program. Pay: Competitive salary up to $300,000, annual performance bonus, regular salary increases
Paid Time Off 50-55 days of annual paid time offer per year (26 days of annual leave, 13 days of sick leave, 11 paid Federal holidays per year, and possible 5-day paid absence for CME)
Retirement: Traditional federal pension (5 years vesting) and federal 401K with up to 5% in contributions by VA

Licensure: 1 full and unrestricted license from any US State or territory
