Description

Founded in 1952, CHI Memorial is a not-for-profit, faith-based healthcare organization that is dedicated to the healing ministry of the Church. Founded by the Sisters of Charity of Nazareth, CHI Memorial offers a continuum of care that is supported by more than 4,400 associates, 400 volunteers, and 600 affiliated physicians. CHI Memorial is a regional referral center of choice providing care throughout Southeast Tennessee and North Georgia.

Our practice provides services at five different hospitals and an outpatient center.

Orthopedic, general, GI, cardiac, pulmonary cases, and a small amount of pediatric anesthesia

30 anesthesiologists and 100 CRNAs work together in a care team model. This care team model means that we focus on giving everyone a voice, while supporting, respecting, and helping them to deliver care excellence.

Requirements

Responsibilities
  • Assist in the directing and coordinating of activities in the Anesthesia Department
  • Responsible for the medical management of patients who are rendered unconscious and/or insensible to pain and emotional stress during surgery and other medical procedures
  • Pre-anesthesia assessment
  • Obtains and/or verifies patient consent
  • Discuss anesthetic options and risks with the patient Induction, maintenance, and emergence from anesthesia
  • Monitoring of the patient's physiological condition
  • Performance of clinical intervention as needed

Requirements
  • M.D./D.O. Degree from an accredited College of Medicine
  • ECFMG and FLEX
  • Completion of approved residency in anesthesia
  • Currently licensed as a physician
