CT/MRI Technologist - $7,500 Sign On Bonus*
We invite you to join Cullman’s comprehensive healthcare network where our mission is to serve the community by providing high quality healthcare services while striving to exceed patients’ expectations.
*Appropriately documents shielding on all 13 and younger patients.
* Active knowledge of all CT and MRI exams, demonstrating proficiency.
* Manipulates and adjusts MRI/CT scanning parameters to achieve diagnostic studies for appropriate age group.
* Performs radiographic CT/MRI examination and properly positions and instructs patient for exam.
* Performs venipuncture, IV patency and IV maintenance according to established guidelines. Prepares and administers contrast media according to established guidelines.
* Properly screens patients/family/visitors and other employees prior to entering MRI scan room.
* Follows established pediatric scanning protocols and documents required information.
* Transports patients to imaging dept and properly communicates handoff communication to nursing staff.
* Helps prevent or reduce pain level and falls when possible. Reports occurrences of medical/healthcare errors and action taken to improve patient safety, in response to occurrences and proactive findings as outlined in Patient Safety Plan.
* Flexible schedule. Willing to work additional shifts/hours when needed during high census, adverse weather, and employee absences/vacancies. Education*- ARRT registered graduate of approved school. At least one year of experience in radiology and one year experience in either CT or MRI required to gain familiarity with processes and procedures in Radiology, CT and MRI.
*General knowledge of diagnostic radiology principles and procedures as well as operation a maintenance of radiology equipment acquired through completion of training at an approved school of radiologic technology. Post ARRT registry in CT and preferred in MRI as well.
*Communication skills, computer skills, task oriented and organized. Job Type: Full-time
