Objectives of This Role: As the Chief Talent and Creative Officer, your primary objective will be to lead the development and execution of talent management strategies and creative initiatives that support the growth and success of Kid Explorer Club. You will be responsible for attracting, retaining, and developing top talent, as well as fostering a culture of innovation and creativity across the organization.

Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and implement talent acquisition and retention strategies to attract and retain top talent, including sourcing, recruiting, and onboarding new team members.
  2. Lead the design and implementation of talent development programs and initiatives, including training, mentoring, and coaching, to support the professional growth and advancement of staff members.
  3. Collaborate with department leaders to identify talent needs and develop succession plans to ensure a pipeline of future leaders and key contributors.
  4. Oversee performance management processes, including goal setting, performance evaluations, and career development planning, to drive employee engagement and accountability.
  5. Lead the development and execution of creative initiatives and projects that align with Kid Explorer Club's mission and values, including curriculum development, program design, and educational content creation.
  6. Foster a culture of innovation and creativity by providing resources, support, and encouragement to staff members to explore new ideas, experiment with innovative approaches, and take calculated risks.
  7. Cultivate partnerships and collaborations with external stakeholders, including educators, artists, entrepreneurs, and community organizations, to enhance creative opportunities and expand Kid Explorer Club's impact.
  8. Serve as a champion for diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives, ensuring that talent management and creative efforts reflect and celebrate the diverse perspectives and experiences of our community.
  9. Monitor trends and best practices in talent management, creativity, and education innovation, and incorporate learnings into Kid Explorer Club's strategies and initiatives.
  10. Lead by example, demonstrating a commitment to excellence, integrity, and continuous improvement in all aspects of talent management and creative leadership.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor's degree in human resources, organizational development, education, or a related field.
  2. Proven experience in talent management, creative leadership, or related roles, with a track record of success in attracting, developing, and retaining top talent.
  3. Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate others, build trust and rapport, and foster a collaborative and inclusive work environment.
  4. Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate ideas, influence stakeholders, and drive change through effective storytelling and persuasion.
  5. Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to analyze complex issues, identify opportunities for improvement, and develop practical solutions.
  6. Creativity and innovation mindset, with a passion for exploring new ideas, experimenting with unconventional approaches, and pushing the boundaries of traditional education.
  7. Results-oriented mindset, with a focus on achieving measurable outcomes and driving continuous improvement in talent management and creative initiatives.

Preferred Skills and Qualifications:

  1. Master's degree in human resources, organizational development, education, or a related field.
  2. Certification in talent management, organizational development, or related areas.
  3. Experience working in the education sector or with nonprofit organizations focused on youth development.
  4. Knowledge of creative processes, design thinking, and project management methodologies.
  5. Familiarity with talent management systems and tools for recruitment, performance management, and learning and development.
  6. Demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion principles and practices.
