Join our innovative and dynamic People Technology engineering team as a Senior Software Engineer. In this role, you will play an important role in developing and implementing digital solutions that solve mission critical business problems in supporting Walmart associates. Your projects will make a significant impact, be scalable, and drive Walmart's modernization efforts in the People Technology organization.

The Enterprise People Technology team supports the successful deployment and adoption of new People technology across the enterprise. We strive to continuously improve people technology and products to help managers and associates so they can focus on what matters most - supporting our customers and members. People Technology is one of the major segments of Walmart Global Tech’s Enterprise Business Services, which is invested in building a compact, robust organization that includes service operations and technology solutions for Finance, People, and the Associate Digital Experience.
As a Senior Software Engineer, you’ll spend your days translating requirements into solutions, writing code and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
Participates in the discovery phase of small to medium-sized projects to come up with high level design by partnering with architects, product management and user experience teams.

Demonstrated Expert level knowledge of the following programming Languages: Java, Kafka streaming, NoSQL. Build Manager (Maven), Distributed Version Control (GIT), functional automation testing (Cucumber or Karate) experience.
A disciplined approach to development, code review, exception handling, testing, documentation, and code structure in a team environment
Knowledge of technologies used in building scalable, distributed systems in virtualized cloud environments.
Solid devops skills in troubleshooting live applications, assessing performance bottlenecks of applications running on cloud.
Experience with unit testing & Test Driven Development (TDD)
