As a Principal DevOps Infrastructure Developer, you have the opportunity to directly impact the world around you and contribute to classified programs and technologies you are passionate about. Our small agile teams adapt to evolving customer and warfighter needs.

What You Will Do

  • Implement and manage DevOps infrastructure for a cutting-edge satellite ground system.

  • Work with talented teams of engineers, architects, and leaders in an Agile environment.

What You Will Learn

  • Modern DevSecOps and Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery techniques.

  • Software lifecycle practices for large-scale defense projects.

  • Satellite ground system technologies including command & telemetry, flight dynamics, planning and scheduling, and spacecraft operations.

Qualifications You Must Have

  • Typically requires a Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and 8 years of relevant software engineering experience.

  • Experience building and managing large-scale Kubernetes clusters in a production environment.

  • Experience integrating containerized applications with cloud infrastructure (e.g. ELB, RDS, S3, EFS/EBS)

  • Experience with Linux and Git administration.

  • Active and transferable U.S. government issued Top Secret security clearance is required prior to start date. The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued TS/SCI security clearance is also required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Qualifications We Prefer

  • Kubernetes debugging skills.

  • Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA).

  • CompTIA Security+ certification.

  • Docker Certified Associate (DCA).

  • Experience programming with Java and Groovy.

  • Experience with Test Automation, DevSecOps, and CI/CD processes.

  • Experience working with a large-scale legacy software system.

  • Experience with tools such as Confluence, Eclipse, Jira, Jenkins, Junit, Kafka, and Spring Boot.

The salary range for this role is 96,000 USD - 200,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
