Collins Aerospace is looking for an individual *Machinist I 2nd Shift* for our Miami, FL Landing gear Facility, one of the most rapidly growing facilities across the company. The Machinist produces machine parts by using manual machine (Lathes, Mills, Grinders, and manual machines). Some programming, assembling, and operating a computer numerical control (CNC) maybe required (Lathes, Mills, Grinders, and other specialized CNC).
*2nd Shift: Mon. - Training will occur on 1st Shift.*
*Interprets blueprints, work orders, engineering plans, specifications, reference planes, designs sketches and geometric dimensions and tolerances (GD&T) for operation, material, and dimensional requirements.
* Perform manual turning, facing, treading, tapering, and boring operations.
* Assembles, repairs, and fabricates metal parts into sub-units or complete units using operating mechanical equipment.
* Takes measurements of material using micrometers and vernier calipers and selects appropriate machines for the process.
* Conducts inspections of work produced.
* Keeps records and maintains quality/safety standards
* Current or previous experience performing manual lathe operations
* Experience working in Aerospace or MRO Facility.
* Ability to set up manual machines (Lates and Mills) for appropriate operations.
