We are GROWING and need to add to our TEAM We are a well-established, PCMH Certified, pediatric practice in Highland Park. We are seeking a qualified, compassionate individual who is a team player and enjoys working with children to fill a Registered Nurse position. *New Nurses* welcome to apply This position is 24 to 32 hours per week, with rotating Saturday's at both our Highland Park and Vernon Hills office.

A current Registered Nurse license and BLS/CPR certificate required.

Registered Nurse Responsibilities include, but not limited to:

Administering immunizations
Performing routine diagnostic tests
Rooming patients
Taking vitals
Phone triage

Working closely with the physicians to maintain exceptional patient care. Pediatric experience a plus.

EMR experience is preferred. Epic experience is a plus.

Job Type: Registered Nurse

In the office setting, under the direction of the providers, administers direct patient care, provides telephone triage and coordinates patient care needs outside the office such as diagnostic procedures and specialty referrals.

REGISTERED NURSE ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

* Provides assessment of patients in the office and administers direct patient care as ordered by the provider.
* Manages and documents incoming patient telephone calls and assesses the need for patient appointments or delivers home care advice and management per office triage guidelines or under the direction of a provider.
* Provides patient/parent education on diagnoses and treatment, as per provider orders. Prepares and administers immunizations or other medications per office protocol and provider orders.
* Assists in scheduling diagnostic procedures and referrals to specialists, per provider orders.
* Monitors the completion of ordered diagnostic tests and routes results accordingly.
* Assists in communicating results to patients/parents and coordinates any necessary follow up.
* Reviews incoming faxes and forms as well as specialist, hospital and emergency room reports and routes to the appropriate providers for their review. Assists in any follow up as indicated by the provider.
* Coordinates the ordering and administration of medications for specific patient populations.
* Performs office lab tests as ordered by a provider and remains proficient in the completion of tests.
* Performs and supports PediaTrust Core Values and digital health workflows and initiatives.

REGISTERED NURSE ADDITIONAL JOB FUNCTIONS Performs cleaning and disinfection of instruments and equipment based on practice protocol.

Registered Nurse Required Education, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

* Knowledge of Epic or other EMR systems preferred
* Ability to multitask, prioritize and plan daily responsibilities
* Strong written and verbal communication skills
* Computer literacy Required Length & Type of Experience:
* Required Certification, Licenses, and Registration.

Current Illinois Licensure as an RN/CPR certified
