*Travel, PRN, Short-Term Option, etc.). Ascension Saint Agnes is looking for a Board Certified Obstetrics and Gynecology physician to serve as Chair of the Obstetrics and Gynecology Department.
This is a great opportunity for the right candidate to partner with Ascension Saint Agnes to provide medical services to patients.
This is a highly visible position that reports directly to the Chief Medical Officer and partners with the Nursing leadership for Womens services for the Service Line activities. The role consists of administrative and clinical time.
These include: the ability to drive change in a complex community-based environment, strong strategic planning skills, leadership skill to bring together diverse private practice and employed physician groups toward a common goal, and a demonstrated track record of leadership accomplishments.
The individual will have an understanding of organizational dynamics and fiscal responsibility, demonstrated excellent interpersonal skills, ability to communicate with clarity and transparency with diverse groups, and a strong commitment to improving quality and patient safety, clinical care, teaching, and research.
In addition to administrative duties, the OB/GYN Chair physician will provide medical care in an office setting, in-hospital services to patients as required or appropriate, and on-call coverage in accordance with the call schedule.
Oversees deployment of staff, employee development, performance and satisfaction.
Defines criteria for staff privileges in conjunction with members of the department and making recommendations regarding same. Ensures that quality / performance improvement activities are working well. Oversees risk management activities including adjudication of patient complaints.
