Position Summary:

We are looking for a Clinical Work Injury Specialist to join our Plano and Arlington team. As the Clinical Workers Compensation Specialist, you will be responsible for generating new business to attain overall market growth and act as a liaison and case manager between referral sources and the acute rehabilitation hospital operations team as it applies to work related injury cases. The Market Workers Compensation Specialist will bridge the communication gap by providing education and assisting with care coordination services from pre-admission through discharge.

Responsibilities:
The Clinical Workers Compensation Specialist will use a collaborative process of assessment, planning, facilitation, care coordination and advocacy to ensure appropriate patient placement and meet an individual’s comprehensive health care needs
Act as a liaison between referral sources and the acute inpatient rehabilitation operations team
Responsible for assisting with meeting volume and revenue expectations for the market by increasing work injury referral volume for patients with rehabilitation needs
Initiate new partnerships with prospective clients in the Workers' Compensation Industry by utilization of strategic business planning and industry/market analysis to identify opportunities for growth
Proactively participate in professional industry related associations to establish and maintain contacts in community. These events will include local travel, luncheons, health fairs, conferences, and after hour social functions.
Develop relationships with direct referral sources such as short-term acute hospital care coordinators, physicians and medical practices, surgery centers, outpatient clinics, skilled rehab and neuro rehab facilities, home health companies, insurance carriers, field case managers, insurance adjusters, employers and others
Assists internal case managers with coordination of care for injured/disabled individuals
Interpret and educate the individual on his/her disability, and the treatment plan established by clinical team
Minimum Qualifications:
Experience: Proven successful sales, marketing, or claims management experience in the Workers Compensation industry preferred
Clinical foundation and knowledge of Acute Rehabilitation services preferred
Licensed RN, OT, PT, ST and/or Case Management experience required
Excellent verbal and communication skills required
Proficient with computer applications; Microsoft Office and Teams required
Knowledge of workers compensation and disability industry preferred
Understanding of WC Claims process and regulations in assigned state preferred
Knowledge, Skills and Ability Requirements:

Detail-oriented, able to meet strict time frames
