The Alaka`ina Foundation Family of Companies (FOCs) is looking for a Computer Aided Drafting Specialist to support our government customer located in Kwajalein Atoll, Marshall Islands.
Maintain to-scale drawings in the current version of Micro Station, AutoCAD, or Microsoft Visio that include such information as cable vault size, maintenance hole butterflies, duct configuration, splice connections, and cable placement, distances, type, size, and identifiers.
Maintain/utilize Army systems as the only official source for managing and storing engineering drawings, as tasked by the COR.
Maintain an electronic and hard copy plant-in-place (PIP) drawing library using Micro Station, AutoCAD, or Microsoft Visio. Maintain PIP drawing library in native AutoCAD and Adobe PDF formats.
REQUIRED DEGREE/EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION:
Associate’s degree and a minimum of two (2) years of experience developing telecommunication and engineering-based drawings, or a high school diploma and five (5) years of experience.
Completion of an AutoCAD course
Must possess a valid U.S. passport.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
Proficient with AutoCad and Micro Station.
Ability to relocate and reside at the U.Army Garrison – Kwajalein Atoll in the Republic of the Marshall Islands (USAG-KA). To enter the Republic of the Marshall Islands, you must meet current and future vaccination requirements for infectious diseases such as COVID-19.
Pre-employment health screening is required due to remote location and limited medical and dental capabilities on the island.
Ability to travel by plane or small sea-going vessel between working locations.
May be required to work overtime.
SECRET security clearance to access classified information.
