*PRN, Short-Term Option, etc.). Ascension Saint Agnes is looking for a Bariatric Registered Dietitian to work with our bariatric team of surgeons, nurses, and mental health professionals.

Assesses nutritional and health status of bariatric surgery patients, pre- and post-surgery.
Develops customized nutrition care plans that support weight loss goals and optimal health.
Collaborates with bariatric program team including surgeons, nurses, and mental health professionals to ensure coordination throughout the continuum of care.
Develops patient education materials and classes. Provides education to patients, caregivers, and healthcare providers.
Provides individual and group nutrition counseling to bariatric surgery patients.
Monitors effectiveness of nutritional regimen, provides medical nutrition therapy, and evaluates effectiveness of treatments.
Participates in marketing and community education activities to promote the Bariatric Program.
Licensure / Certification / Registration:
Educator specializing in Diabetes Management credentialed from the National Certification Board for Diabetes Educators (NCBDE) preferred.
Bachelors degree in food and nutrition, dietetics or related field
Registration by the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics, Commission on Dietetics Registration
Bilingual proficiency in Spanish preferred
