✦Responsible for initial greeting and seating of guests, answering phones, taking messages and reservations, maintaining an accurate wait when necessary and bidding goodbye to all guests.
Determine proper amount of reservations to be accepted for each shift according to standing operating procedure
Seat the restaurant evenly and in an orderly manner so that the dining room looks well filled at all times and so that all servers have a fair share of the guests
Fill out completely all sections of a telephone message pad and pass on to the appropriate person within 10 minutes of the call
Check washrooms and coordinate with bus staff cleaning requirements
Ensure that host desk and waiting area are kept clean and organized throughout the shift
Sell and accurately account for gift certificate sales
Must be willing and able to meet individual restaurant requirements in the following when that restaurant is on a wait:
Communicate seating needs to service, bus and other host staff

Must provide a minimum of 1-year full service restaurant experience or the equivalent. Restaurant layout including table numbers and station numbers

Work nights, weekends and holidays
