Java Software Engineer
What does a successful Java Software Engineer do at Fiserv?
Are you a talented Java Software Engineer looking to join a dynamic and innovative product development team? At Fiserv, we build, design, and love all things related to our software products. Develop software solutions using established engineering best practices, Java Back-End Development.
Collaborate with team members in Scrum Agile events to deliver high-quality code.
Design and deliver working software through our established coding standards and automation capabilities.
Implement automated tests to verify software behavior during the build process.
Build and maintain CI/CD processes through pipeline automation.
Bachelor's Degree (preferably Computer Science or Engineering) or equivalent combination of experience, education and military.
4+ years of professional software development experience.
4+ years of experience with modern programming and scripting languages (Java/Spring Boot).
4+ years of experience with datastores and writing database queries.
Experience with DevOps, CI/CD, GitOps, and Agile methodologies.
Experience with Docker: You've built and managed Docker images, enhancing your ability to deploy and scale applications.
Familiarity with Kubernetes: You have a solid understanding of Kubernetes, including container management and monitoring.
Exposure to AWS Cloud Services: You're familiar with AWS Cloud services and hold or are working towards an AWS certification.
Knowledge of CI/CD Pipelines: You've worked with CI/CD pipelines, ideally with GitLab CI, to streamline development and deployment processes.
Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code: You have hands-on experience with IaC frameworks like Helm, helping automate infrastructure management.
This role is not eligible to be performed in Colorado, California, District of Columbia, Hawaii, Maryland, New York, Nevada, Rhode Island or Washington.
