The practice of vascular-interventional radiography is performed by health care professionals responsible for the administration of ionizing radiation for diagnostic, therapeutic, or research purposes. Actively participates in quality control and quality assurance activities using the “APIE” model
Prepares, administers, and documents activities related to contrast media and medications in accordance with state and federal regulations or institutional policy
Continually assesses professional performance as a responsible member of the health care team by means of quality improvement and customer service
Board of Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy, Required
Certification in Cardiovascular Interventional Radiology, Preferred
