Job Details

Job description: Working in a dedicated Children's facility is preferred but not mandatory. Pediatric experience is a requirement, especially in PEDS Cardiac.
Experience in heart transplants and willingness to float between units is needed.
Experience with ventilators, multiple monitors, and EKG interpretation is required.
Traveler may be floated to various units except OR, PACU, and ED including PICU, NICU, medical, surgical, hem/onc, medical behavioral unit, and occasionally to Bernardy Center.
Unit Summary: Providing post op cardiac surgical care, cardiology, complex congenital patients, acquired heart disease patients, heart transplantation, VAD's and ECMO.
Job Requirements
CA License in hand or pending with estimated times of arrival
At least 2 years of CVPICU/CTICU experience leading up to assignment
Must have PEDS Cardiac experience
Heart transplant experience
Willing to float between units
Must have BLS and PALS certifications
Schedule Information
~ Shifts: 3x12 variable or straight night shifts, 36x48 available
~ Weekend Requirements: 6 weekend shifts per 4-week schedule (combination of Fri/Sat nights for night shift and Sat/Sun for day shift)
~13 week contracts
~ Requested Time Off: 6 days total (must still get 3 shifts in week)
~ Must be available to work holidays
~ Self-scheduling available
~ Patient Ratio: 1:1-2
~ Unit has 30-37 beds
Unit Specific Information
Unit Details: The position involves working in the CVPICU/CTICU units.
The units include a variety of patient types including post op cardiac surgical care, cardiology, complex congenital patients, acquired heart disease patients, heart transplantation, VAD's and ECMO.
Patients can range from neonatal up to 23 years old.
