HybridThe Sensor Controls & Electronics (SCE) Department in the Electrical Engineering Directorate at Raytheon is seeking an experienced Principal level electrical engineer in the development and implementation of FPGA based designs for control and/or signal processing radar applications. The individual will be required to provide development support throughout product lifecycle, from initial concept to acceptance delivery to maintenance.
Applicant will work as part of a highly motivated team environment and will be collaborating with cross-functional project teams making up a larger program or internal research and development efforts. Each section manager is responsible for their members’ performance, career development and assigning tasks that balance the employees’ interests with current needs of the project teams.
Owning or contributing to the successful completion of FPGA-based designs, on time and on budget

* May lead small teams and mentor junior engineers

* Design and deliver production quality FPGA releases from initial proof of concept up to production

* Work cooperatively with systems, hardware, software engineers, and program management to ensure product success

* Architect FPGA-based systems to determine parts, interfaces, and Concept of Operations (CONOPS)

* Translate system level requirements into FPGA requirements

* Support occasional domestic travel and potential international travel

Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent discipline

* S. government issued security clearance is required. S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
