Type of equipment: Blood pressure machines, IV pumps, wound vacs, PCA pain control pumps, PAPRs, telemetry monitoring, pulse oximeter, WOWs
Every other weekend, every other Friday, and every other holiday
Floating policy: to areas with competency. Hospital Specifics-
Certifications: Academic Medical Center, Level 1 trauma center (adult); Children’s Hospital within a hospital
Procedures performed on unit: Medical-Surgical certification encouraged.
Unit Specifics:**Med Surg FLOAT POOL
Unit staffing description- (unit secretaries and tech availability) : Work side by side with members of interdisciplinary teams on all units: PA’s, NP’s, Residents, Attending MDs, Fellows, PCA, and ASAs
Type of equipment : wound vac, EKG monitoring, advanced neuro assessments
Every other weekend; may request weekend block Fri/Sat/Sun or Sat/Sun/Mon
Floating policy: to areas with competency.
Must be flexible in assignments, comfortable with change, and willing to learn new skills
Ability and willingness to float to 22 different medical and surgical units. Unit assignments will be made on a shift to shift basis to best meet the needs of each of these units.
