The Atlanta, GA VA Medical Center is searching for a BE/BC Family Practice/Internal Medicine Physician to join their dynamic healthcare team.
The openings are located at the Blairsville, GA Community Based Outpatient Clinic.
They also have openings in Zebulon, GA (Pike County), Stockbridge, GA, Pickens County, GA, Rome, GA, Oakwood, GA, Fort MacPherson, GA and Carrollton, GA Community Based Out Patient Clinics. They also have openings at the VA Medical Center in Decatur, GA.
The Primary Care physician work as a member of a multidisciplinary health care team, collaborating with other members of the team to provide medical care to veterans enrolled on the team. He/ she will provide comprehensive patient assessment, health history, physical examination, and patient education to veterans in the Primary Care team setting. As a Physician you will provide prescribed medical treatment and personal care services to ill and injured veterans.
Duties include documenting observations, assessments, and changes in patient's condition; Our facility is seeking individuals who possess good organizational skills which enable completion of work, a demonstrated ability to assume leadership in a patient centered program, and the ability to establish effective communication with patients, families, visitors and members of the interdisciplinary team.
The Primary Care Physician provides primary medical care and is responsible for all aspects of patient care. Physician is responsible for referrals to specialists, ordering and or performing procedures, ordering and monitoring all medications as well as handling the acute needs of all their patients
The physician is accountable for ensuring the most cost effective delivery of care and meeting or exceeding established care quality standards.
The VA Healthcare System uses a comprehensive electronic medical record and is dedicated to providing primary medical care via a patient-centered medical home model. Work Hours: Monday-Friday 8am-4:30pm

The degree must have been obtained from one of the schools approved by the Secretary of Veterans Affairs for the year in which the course of study was completed.
