Hospital Highlights Campus Map and Parking Gift Shop and Cafeteria Browse nearby Restaurants Cafes Food Shopping Hotels Landmarks Unit Highlights: PLEASE READ EXPERIENCE FULLY Hospital: Methodist Hospital Location: San Antonio Unit: MSICU (7C) (651) Classification: RN - MS ICU Shift Detail: 7A-7:30P / 7P-7:30A Building/Floor/Suite information of unit: General Information Shift Details- Please correct information below if needed: Quantity : Assignment Length: 13 weeks Shift/Workdays: 7A-7:30P / 7P-7:30A Weekend – Rotating Call Requirements: 2 Years + ***All travelers are required to float, while on the interview please inform traveler of the Methodist Floating Policy*** Unit Specifics - Information below is requested for better sourcing: Meditech Unit Guidelines: Badging in and out for shift is required along with taking a full 30 minute lunch. Be on time for scheduled shifts (Clock in time 6:38 am/pm, after 6:45 is considered tardy) Hiring profile Requested Skill Set: Must have : (candidates without these skills will not be considered for the role) Strong critical thinking skills Minimum 2-3 years or more ICU experience ACLS BLS NIH Stoke Certification Preferred Skills/Advanced Skills Needed : (candidates with these skills will be considered first) MICU & MSICU background Meditech charting/ order entry Preferred Specialty/Unit Certifications Required: (RN ) ACTIVE TX RN License – TEMP LICENSE WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED Procedures performed on unit: Chest tubes, trachs , GI scopes Intubations, central lines, art lines NG Tubes, Foley Catherers , Dressing Changes Dress Code: Include requirements, but most of all not acceptable attire. Scrub Color RN: Navy-scrub top and pant, Navy or white scrub jacket Nail Policy – Clean and Healthy Hair - hair should be neat and clean with no extreme styles or colors. Beards, mustaches and sideburns should be clean and neatly trimmed Tattoos – Body art should be covered whenever possible. Body art that is not feasible to cover on a daily basis will be addressed individually Piercings – Visible piercings other than ears, is prohibited Unit Guidelines/Policies: Floating Guidelines Methodist Acknowledgement Form Attendance Policies Badging in and out for shift is required along with taking a full 30 minute lunch.
