Each day, ground stations receive vast amounts of data from satellites in orbit. Using complex algorithms, they process all the bits and bytes received and turn them into useable information for the end users who consume this data. As the volume of data grows, ground stations need to evolve and adapt. In this role you will work onsite with a team of skilled Software Engineers developing Satellite Ground Stations Software in Java and C++.
Develop and maintain Java based backend applications for satellite ground systems in both Windows and Linux in the full software development life cycle (SDLC).
Lead the program Test Automation team
Modify and improve existing codebases for enhanced performance and scalability.
Conduct software design and code reviews, integrating best practices and innovations.
Contribute to all phases of the software development lifecycle, ensuring adherence to Agile principles.
Participate in integration and project milestone completion under guidance from supervisors.
Typically requires a Bachelor's in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM preferred) and a minimum of 8 years of prior relevant experience.
Experience with satellite ground station software.
Experience as a Test Automation Lead.
Experience programming in Java.
S. government issued Secret security clearance is required. S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
