~ Ensure the proper operation and maintenance of all rolling stock, machinery, equipment and in the facility. This position is also responsible for the day-to-day maintenance and upkeep of the interior and exterior of the facility. This is a safety sensitive position that requires drug testing.

Through previous background and experience, the candidate must demonstrate, with or without an accommodation, the ability to:
~ Assess equipment and recommend an appropriate course of action.

~ Maintain and repair forklift equipment, pick carousels, etc.

~ Troubleshoot escalated technical problems and complex mechanical issues including repair material handling equipment such as forklifts and warehouse equipment such as picking carousels, shrink-wrap machines and inventory racks.
Prioritizes maintenance of red tagged equipment.
Perform preventive maintenance of rolling stock and equipment as required.
Perform repair and maintenance duties to the interior and exterior building structure including electricity, plumbing, framing, roofing, painting, etc.
Assist in quarterly and annual inventories.
Additional projects as assigned.

Nature of Supervision:
Although this position generally does not entail supervising other employees, management may delegate additional responsibility to include providing functional guidance and work leadership to junior maintenance technicians.

2 years of technical schooling and/or training is preferred.

A minimum of 3 - 6 years’ experience as a maintenance technician is required and familiarity with forklifts, warehouse and material handling equipment is preferred.
While some job duties may occasionally be conducted outdoors, the majority of work is performed indoors. Risk of injury in this type of work should not be overlooked.

Contacts are primarily with the immediate supervisor and employees within the warehouse and generally involve the routine exchange of information. Routinely communicates with vendors and contractors.
