As a Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality, patient-centered care in line with the requirements of the department and the standards of practice for the relevant state and specialty. Collaborating with medical providers and the care team, you will provide personalized, comprehensive, and compassionate care, following established nursing models such as "Assess, Perform, Teach, and Manage." Care for transplant, oncology, and medical patients such as pre and post kidney and liver transplant, transfusion and cancer patients, dialysis patients, GI bleeds, sickle cell, and transplant & Oncology patients. Assess patient condition during admission and during each shift, identifying and reporting any changes in patient status.
Perform procedures or other functions as ordered by the medical provider.
Document the administration of care in the patient medical record in a timely and thorough manner.
Maintain a knowledge of medications, procedures, and equipment used in the care of cardiac and medical-surgical patients.
Previous experience in an acute care setting strongly preferred.
