Enjoy working on-site at Shoe Carnival's corporate office located in Fort Mill, South Carolina This position will work in the office at 234 Kingsley Park Dr, Fort Mill South Carolina Monday -- Thursday and have the option to work remotely on Friday.
 
 
 
Summary: The Data Analyst influences business decisions and supports business strategies by analyzing and understanding customer behavior and marketing/promotion effectiveness. This includes data-driven insights to acquire, retain, and reactivate customers to align with the customer-centric vision.
 
Analyzes customer data, demographics, segmentation, and market basket data to transform it into meaningful insights.
Provides ad-hoc reports and deep dives into customer analytics to help answer and guide strategic business decisions.
Analyzes marketing metrics for identifying cause-effect relationships between financial outcomes and marketing actions to increase sales and profitability.
Provides business stakeholders with data related to the performance of marketing channels, the health of the customer file, and the impact of pricing/promotions.
Translates complex analytics tasks into concise and easily consumable outputs (data storytelling and dashboards) to help business stakeholders make data driven decisions.
Performs research and analysis in order to provide insights regarding the market, trends, competitors, potential and existing customers, and current campaigns.
BA/BS degree in Business Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Statistics, Data Science, or related analytical degree and/or experience required.
~2+ years of experience in analytics/data mining and presenting those results to business partners preferred.
~ Experience using SQL required.
~ Familiarity with a variety of statistical models including logistic/linear regression, cluster analysis, propensity models, and other modeling techniques required.
~ Experience with Tableau and Alteryx preferred.
~ Strong communication and technical writing skills.
~ Strong computer skills to include Word, Excel, and Outlook.
