JOB DESCRIPTION The Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit Advanced Practice Provider operates under general supervision and in accordance with APP standardized procedures/protocol:
To help achieve our mission, you will demonstrate respect for and an understanding of other clinical disciplines while using an integrated approach to achieve desired patient outcomes. Utilizing evidenced based standards, guidelines and protocols for care delivery is required.
This position is eligible for a $20,000 Sign-On Bonus
Advanced Practice Providers with at least two years of experience in cardiovascular surgery or critical care are eligible to receive a $20,000 sign on bonus. Develops differential diagnosis and plans of care based on data collection and revises based on physiologic and psychosocial findings. Interprets and synthesizes laboratory, imaging, and other pertinent data. Review’s patient plan of care with interdisciplinary team and with the patient and family.
Evaluates and documents patients' response to care, and evaluates impact of illness on patients' health status, functional status, nutritional status, sleep and rest patterns, family and social relationships, and establishes a health promotion strategy.
Participates in clinical research/data collection and assists in projects and planning for continual development of respective specialty.
Provides formal/informal clinical and professional educational programs to improve staff knowledge.
3-4 shifts/week with an expectation of 3-4 nights per month and 1-2 weekends per month.
Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant
Preferably at least 1 year of experience in cardiac surgery, thoracic surgery, general surgery, cardiology, or critical care.
