Currently seeking a Home Health Registered Nurse for great opportunity in the Decatur, GA area. The ideal candidate will possess 1 to 2 years of home health experience or 2 years clinical experience but not in home health (i.e. Med surg, ER, ICU.)
Responsibilities Of The Registered Nurse - Home Health
  • Demonstrate clinical expertise in nursing assessment, nursing diagnosis, and advanced proficiency in technical skills necessary for developing, providing, and coordinating care to patients.
  • Collaborate with physicians and nurses to devise individualized care plans for patients.
  • Perform routine procedures (blood pressure measurements, administering injections etc.) and fill in patients’ charts.
  • Adjust and administer patient’s medication and provide treatments according to physician’s orders.
  • Inspect the facilities and act to maintain excellent hygiene and safety (decontaminating equipment, sanitizing surfaces, preparing beds etc.)
  • Provide instant medical care in emergencies.
  • Assist surgeons during operations.
  • Foster a supportive and compassionate environment to care for patients and their families.
  • Expand knowledge and capabilities by attending educational workshops, conferences etc.
Requirements Of The Registered Nurse - Home Health
  • Associate's Degree
  • Current Georgia RN license
  • 1 to 2 years of home health experience or 2 years clinical experience but not in home health (i.e. Med surg, ER, ICU.
  • Must be familiar with general use and functions of the compute
  • Current CPR
  • Knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid and other funding source regulations as applied to home health care services
  • Demonstrate knowledge and competence in advanced practice nursing skills, including the nursing process and collaborating with interdisciplinary team
  • Willingness to Travel
  • Must have valid automobile insurance and reliable transportation
