RN (Registered Nurse) for PCU in the Hospital - Travel/Local Contract

Sun City, AZ

Night Shift Available

12 hour shifts; 36 hours/week

Must have 2+ years of experience as a medical-surgical RN/ Charge Preferred

Must have valid NY RN license or compact license

Must have current BLS certification, ACLS

Responsibilities:

Assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care plans in consultation with healthcare professionals.

Evaluating medical information, as well as providing direct and individualized bedside nursing care to pre and post-surgery patients.

Overview:
We are seeking experienced and dedicated Travel Nurses to join our team. As a Travel Nurse, you will have the opportunity to work in various healthcare settings across different locations, providing quality care to patients. Duties:
- Provide direct patient care, including administering medications, performing procedures, and monitoring vital signs
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans
- Assess patients' conditions and communicate changes to the healthcare team
- Educate patients and their families on disease management, treatment plans, and self-care techniques
- Document patient information accurately and timely
- Adhere to infection control protocols and maintain a safe environment for patients
- Assist with discharge planning and coordinate follow-up care

Skills:
To excel in this role, you should possess the following skills:
- Proficient in various nursing procedures such as catheterization, tube feeding, wound care, etc.
- Experience in home care settings and familiarity with home medical equipment
- Knowledge of medical coding systems such as ICD-10
- Ability to interpret diagnostic tests such as CT scans and ophthalmology reports
- Strong assessment skills to identify changes in patients' conditions
- Familiarity with assisted living facilities and their specific care requirements
- Ability to work effectively in emergency room (ER) settings
