Genie Healthcare is currently seeking an experienced RN (Registered Nurse) to fill an opening located in Coppertown NY for $75.28 Hourly Blended
* 13 weeks
* Day 12 hours
* 7 AM-7.30 PM
* 36 hrs wk= $2710 gross/wk

Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Labor and Delivery RN Nurse to join our team. As a Labor and Delivery RN Nurse, you will provide care and support to expectant mothers during the labor and delivery process. Your expertise and knowledge will ensure the safety and well-being of both the mother and baby.

Responsibilities:
- Monitor the progress of labor, including fetal heart rate, contraction patterns, and maternal vital signs
- Assist with pain management techniques, such as breathing exercises, relaxation techniques, and medication administration
- Provide emotional support to mothers and their families throughout the labor and delivery process
- Assist with the delivery of the baby, including monitoring the baby's condition and providing immediate care if needed
- Perform postpartum assessments on both the mother and baby
- Educate mothers on newborn care, breastfeeding techniques, and postpartum recovery
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care for mothers and babies

Requirments:
- *2 years nursing experience and 2 years Labor and Delivery experience required*
- *Will consider a highly qualified first time traveler.*

*-Valid Registered Nurse license in NY*
- *Basic fetal monitoring*
- *Neonatal Resuscitation and Basic Life Support required*
-*Must be able to work independently and capable of post-partum/ Normal newborn care.*
- *Travelers cannot be resident of Otsego county.*
