S U M M A R Y Forum Communications Company is seeking a General Manager for our South Dakota Broadcast operations – K N B N- T V ( N B C) in Rapid City and K S F L- T V (ind) in Sioux Falls. The General Manager will report directly to the Vice President of Broadcast and will be responsible for the management of all aspects of the stations in highly competitive markets. E S S E N T I A L F U N C T I O N S Direct and manage the overall operations of the stations to drive results including established goals and objectives in sales, ratings, audience, profit and operating income. Collaborate with appropriate executives to oversee the 24/7 broadcast and technical requirements of the stations. Drive business and partnership development efforts to further group goals. Identify and implement more efficient approaches to operations and processes throughout the stations. Represent the stations in the communities to develop and maintain strong community relationships. Seek out opportunities to contribute to the local markets for the betterment of the communities. Recruit, develop, and retain a strong leadership team providing guidance and coaching to maximize team performance. Execute corporate policies and objectives while maintaining the highest level of ethics and industry standards. Establish and maintain an innovative and highly collaborative culture atmosphere that promotes idea generation, open communication and respect for team members. Create a diverse, collaborative, fun, and stimulating work environment. Q U A L I F I C A T I O N S Ideal candidate will have experience as a General Manager or in a top leadership position in broadcasting, preferably with a background in broadcast sales, news, or marketing. Demonstrated leadership ability to grow both broadcast and digital sales and customer base, while generating high-level results.
