This is an exciting and challenging opportunity to join a dynamic surgical team that delivers exceptional care to our patients. If you want to make an impact on saving lives with cutting edge technology and treatment modalities, this could be your next opportunity Those without prior Operating Room experience will be provided with on-site training, which may take up to 6-8 months to fully orient in the OR for an inexperienced candidate. Provides holistic, quality and cost-effective nursing care for patients/families and/or others for a patient population within a unit, service or other primary area of practice with an awareness of the episode of care. Applies the nursing process within the context of the organization's Framework for Professional Practice. Providing perioperative care to our musculoskeletal surgical patients
Developing and implementing nursing care plans for surgical patients.
Updating patient files and medical records.
ASN applicants with previous OR nursing experience are invited to apply.
Recent BSN graduates will be enrolled in a Periop 101 orientation if hired.
Previous OR nursing experience preferred
It combines the AORN Core Curriculum evidence-based module study course with classroom didactics, OR clinical skills, and simulation labs. It incorporates OR observation and hands-on participation in all modalities of perioperative nursing skills. The program will enhance the nurse’s educational knowledge leading to the ability to practice independently at a foundation level in a perioperative position.
