The Naval Nuclear Laboratory is seeking an experienced Reactor Refueling Engineer to join our Prototype Support Operations team in West Milton, NY This position is equivalent to Engineering Officer of the Watch at other prototypes and ships. In addition to watch standing, the Reactor/Refueling Engineer will be responsible for the successful and safe execution of maintenance and operations in support of MARF defueling.



Bachelor’s degree and NPE or STE qualification and 4 years of relevant experience; Previous naval nuclear power experience (EOOW or STE)
Teaming (able to effectively work with a diverse group of personnel, including Navy, professional, and represented/union personnel)

The Naval Nuclear Laboratory is operated for the U.Department of Energy (DOE) by Fluor Marine Propulsion, LLC (FMP), a wholly owned subsidiary of Fluor Corporation. Naval Nuclear Laboratory personnel are FMP employees who work at four DOE facilities: Kesselring Site, and Naval Reactors Facility, and at the U.Department of Defense-owned Nuclear Power Training Unit-Charleston.
