The Mount Sinai Health System’s Hospitalist Division is continuing to grow with Full-time, Part-time and Per Diem positions available for Daytime and Nocturnist positions.Mount Sinai’s Division of Hospital Medicine is strongly committed to providing patient-centered care. The division embraces the mission of Icahn School of Medicine by pursuing an integrate approach to patient care, education, and research. We consider these as essential elements of the art and science of medicine.
Hospitalist attendings provide either daytime or nighttime coverage for hospitalist services based on their career interests and scheduling preferences. Responsibilities include coverage of patients on the Medicine units, admissions from the emergency department, medical consultation for other services. In addition to providing direct patient care, the responsibilities include supervision of medical housestaff and allied health personnel (Nurse Practitioners, Physician Assistants, etc.).Provide care for patients admitted to the psychiatric servicesVariety of exciting services for rotations, including Co-management, Peri-operative Medicine, Observation Unit, Oncology Hospitalist, and moreWork with team members in an environment dedicated to support and faculty developmentCollaborate with multi-specialty practice colleagues as an integral part of a health systemBenefit from the education, research, and clinical program of Icahn School of Medicine at Mount SinaiMount Sinai is one of the top ranked schools and health systems nationallySignificant opportunities for leadership and career developmentCompetitive benefits and salaryDedicated support staffThis role will be part of the larger division of Hospital Medicine in our Downtown campus and health systemCompensation range from 180K to 340K (not including bonuses / incentive compensation or benefits)Per Diem Weekend Hospitalist Physician - from 18K to 80K (not including bonuses / incentive compensation or benefits)Position Qualifications:• Medical Degree from an Accredited University• New York State Medical License• Board Eligible or Board Certified in Internal Medicine• Committed to Mount Sinai and the communities we serve• Excellent communication, bedside manner, and organizational skills• A strong work ethic and desire to participate in team-oriented, performance-driven Health SystemSalary Disclosure Information:Mount Sinai Health System provides a salary range to comply with the New York City law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialties, historical productivity, historical collections, and hospital/community need.
