Health Alliance Hudson Valley, part of the WMCHealth Network, is currently seeking an experienced and highly qualified Physician Assistant or Acute Nurse Practitioner to work overnight in the ICU department in Kingston, NY. The successful candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, be able to work effectively in a team environment, and be committed to providing exceptional care to our patients. Candidates must be licensed in New York State as a Physician Assistant or Acute Nurse Practitioner, and possess specialized training and certification in critical care medicine. This is a full-time position that involves working overnight shifts in the ICU department. Recognizing abnormalities in test results (lab, radiology, EKG) and taking appropriate treatment actions, consulting with physicians when necessary.
Initiating and facilitating referral or transfer of patients to other medical facilities for further medical care, under the consultation of physicians.
Ensuring proper documentation in the medical record, including history, physical examination, diagnosis, treatment records, condition on discharge, patient instructions, and follow-up.
Managing medical, surgical, and trauma issues in a timely and appropriate manner.
Performing phlebotomies and IV access as needed.
Participating in the Quality Improvement program as requested by the Medical Director.
By performing these tasks diligently and effectively, you will contribute to the delivery of high-quality healthcare services and patient care within Health Alliance Hudson Valley.
Graduate of an accredited program for Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner with current licensure in the State of New York.

Two (2) years minimum in Critical Care
